Destin has long been known as the World's Luckiest Fishing Village and this month kicks off the 71st Annual Destin Fishing Rodeo, Oct. 1-31, 2019.
Anglers from all over the nation will put their skills to the test as they fight to reel in the biggest wahoo, king mackerel, blackfin tuna, grouper, and more. Winners are recognized in several different divisions and the rodeo is open to anyone who registers and loves to fish and simply registers or fishes aboard a boat registered in the Destin Fishing Rodeo. From kids to seniors, aboard charter boats or party boats, or those who stay close to the shore, as well as the adventurous types taking extended voyages, everyone is welcome to enter their catch. Participation is free to any angler fishing aboard boats registered in the Destin Fishing Rodeo. Weigh-ins will be held all day until 7 p.m. at AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar, .
It's fun to hangout and chat with other rodeo attendees as well as those coming in to weigh their catch. Grab a bite and watch the action daily.
