We are frequently asked “what’s new in Destin?” And this month, we’re excited to share that Destin has a new attraction—Rock Out Rock Climbing Gym. This is a great addition to our coastal community, especially on those not so sunny days, double red flag days or days when you just need a break from the Florida sunshine.
The new 8,000 square foot gym offers 3,315 square feet of climbing space. The best part is that the entire facility is rope free so climbers will be bouldering, a form of rock climbing done without the use of a harness. The walls are 16 feet from the floor and 15 feet above the 12 inch pads and each climber goes through a safety briefing that covers how to fall safely onto the foam mats. After that, you're free to climb!
The indoor rock gym features two large climbing structures with countless climbing routes. This experience is all about stamina, endurance, strength and skill. The gym also includes a traditional fitness area containing a treadmill, a rower, a bike, kettlebells and wall balls to get warmed up. The gym also offers a multi-purpose room for birthday parties and corporate team building.

Around town, there are outdoor rock climbing walls as part of the HarborWalk Village adventures and Sandestin’s Village of Baytowne Wharf Adventure Zone.
