The Destin Fort-Walton Beach Airport (VPS) is expanding air service in 2016. Beginning this summer, new carrier, Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) will be providing nonstop service from Cincinnati and St. Louis to Destin, Florida. Now, our guests will have quicker access to the sugar white sand beaches they love, and locals will enjoy direct access to popular Midwest cities.
Known for offering exceptional travel deals, Allegiant will launch by offering one-way fares for as low as $39*. Seasonal non-stop service to Cincinnati will begin on May 20, 2016, just in time for summer, and end Sept. 5, 2016. Service to St. Louis will begin on June 2, 2016 and end Sept. 4, 2016. The new flights will operate twice weekly. This will be a great alternative to the 12-hour drive that many of our guests make annually. While Allegiant is new to Destin, the airline is well-established and currently provides affordable service to more than 100 communities nationwide, including Asheville, Austin, Las Vegas, Memphis, Indianapolis, Phoenix, and Tampa, among many others..
